A My name is John Davidson. Q Is that your full and / complete name? A Yes, sir, that is correct. Q Do you have a middle name? A No, sir. I do not have one. / John Davidson is my full name. Q Are you married at this time, sir? A Yes, sir, I am married. I have / been married to a wonderful woman for the past five years. Q What is the name of your wife? A Her name / is Susan. Q You have been married for five years. Do you have any children of this marriage, Mr. Davidson? A No, / sir, I do not have any children at this time. We plan to have one in a year or two. / Q Do you remember the car accident that you had back in 1999? I believe that it was in / March 1999. Do you remember that accident? A Yes, sir. I remember it very well. Q Can you state for / the court and jury what the weather was like on that day, if you can? A As I recall, it was / a very nice day. It was clear and the sky was blue with very few clouds. Q Do you remember whether / or not it had been clear all day long? A Yes, sir. I believe that we had had good weather for / that entire week. Q Were there many clouds in the sky at all on that day? A No, sir. As I said, / I believe that it was very clear. I don’t think that there were many clouds in the sky at all, / if I remember right. Q I don’t want you to guess about anything. If you are sure that the sky was / clear, please say so. If you are not sure that the sky was clear on that day, please say so. / We want you to testify to the best of your memory and to the best of your recollection, but we / do not want you to guess about this fact or that fact. A Well, it was clear. I remember that it / was clear on that day. Q Now let us talk about the street that you were on when the accident occurred. / Do you know whether the road was wet in any way? A No. We did not have any rain for about / a week. It was very warm even for that part of the year, and we did not have enough rain / for the month. I remember that the paper had said that we were well below the amount of rain that / we should get for that month.
