Do you love dogs? Would you like to have fun with a pet who will greet you with joy each / and every day that you return to your home? Is it time for you to go out and get a / dog for your family? Do you really want to own a dog?
If you do love dogs, I will bet / that you have spent a lot of time thinking about what your life would be like if you had a / dog. It would be nice to have a pet to go to the park with us or to go for a / nice walk to help relax after a long, hard day at work.
If you really want to have a dog, or / even if you want to have another kind of a pet, please read the rest of this page. I have put / in black and white some of the good things that come with owning a dog, and some of the things / that are not so good about owning a dog.
Think very hard about it before you decide to get a / dog. Someone will have to take care of it. Someone will have to feed it and give it water. Someone / will have to find time during the day to take it for a walk.
Can you give a pet that / kind of attention? Someone will have to do the job. Once you have a dog, you or a family member / will have to do all of the little things that must be done to take care of a dog in the / right way.
There are one or two other things that you should think long and hard about before you get / a dog. Is your house or your home large enough for a dog. If it is not, do you / have a yard that is fenced and safe for your dog? If you do not live in a house, / is your apartment large enough for a dog?
You must consider every person in your family before you decide to / get a dog. Does every person want to have a dog as much as you want to have a dog? This / is a key point that you should take into account before you adopt or buy a dog. The dog will / become part of your family.
It is important that the dog feel that all of the members of the family / want the dog and need the dog and, yes, love the dog. If any person in your family has said / that he or she would not like to have a dog, you may have to hold off on your decision / to get a dog.
Having a dog in the house can be a very big change in your life. Maybe / it is not a good idea to get a dog right at this time. It would not be fair to / your family if you bring in a new pet that everybody does not want to have. If you do get / a dog, you may end up with a fight over the way that the dog will bring changes to your / house. Do you really want to force a dog onto your son or your daughter or your spouse?
If they / tell you that they do not want to have a pet, in the long run it will be the dog / who will suffer the most if you bring it into a house where it does not feel that it is / loved.
Is a dog the right pet for you and your family? If you can answer yes to the above / question, you are well on your way to owning a dog. But there are still more things that you must / consider. Let us look at the type of person that you are. Do you find it easy or hard to / make time.
