Free Drill #3

Did to Do

Buy this CD or other steno drill CDs at StenoDrills.com

This drill comes from the TOP PHRASES MP3 CD.  This CD is scheduled to be released toward the end of September 2005.  The Top Phrases CD is recorded in the same fashion as the Top 1000 Briefs CD.  The CD is a recording of the phrases in alphabetical order.

The first drill of the Top Phrases starts with the letter A.  The second drill starts wherever the first drill ended.  The next drill picks up at the end of the second.  Eventually the entire list is recorded.

This drill, the Did to Do phrases, is the third drill on the Top Phrases CD.  It starts with the beginning of the "Did" phrases, but it does not have all of the "Do" phrases.  The rest of the "Do" phrases are on the next drill.

We chose this drill because it is very representative of the value of this CD.  You will learn basic patterns.  Each pattern is closely related to the others.

So once you learn to write "Did he" phrases, you only have to make a minor change to turn them into "Did I" or "Did You" phrases.  And from there, it is only one more change to turn all of them into "Do" phrases.

Do this drill at any speed.  Repeat it five times.  You will notice an immediate improvement on these phrases.

Here is the kicker.  You will also notice an immediate improvement on all other similar phrases, even though they are not on the drill and even though you haven't actually practiced them.  It is a small jump from learning "Did I believe" to learning "Can I believe," "Will I believe," "If I believe, "Shall I believe," Should I believe, "Would I believe," "Could I believe," and "That I believe."

This CD will challenge you and delight you.

Cool.

If you haven't tried MP3 drills yet, they are simple to use.  Almost all computers have an MP3 player; so when you click on the drill, it should start.  If you can't hear the drill after your MP3 player starts up, check the volume control on your computer and the volume control on your MP3 player.

If your computer asks you which program you want to use to open up the MP3, then your computer cannot find an MP3 player.  Never fear.  MP3 programs are cheap and/or free.  Write us if you need help.
