Word Endings

or

Right-Hand Repetition. Repeated Repetitively

Stephen Shastay

Have you ever missed a great test because of one small, yet tough, section?  Have you ever been stroking along free and easy without a care in the world – until one particular word stopped you in your tracks?  Have you ever dropped easy words because harder words slowed you down and forced you to carry?

Who hasn’t?  It happens to everybody.

This drill zeroes in on the right hand.  A lot of the problem strokes are on that side of the keyboard.

The actual outline that you use does not matter very much.  Your theory may provide a one-stroke solution to these words.  Sometimes, you have a choice of one stroke or two strokes.  Regardless, you have to be able to stroke the words on demand when they appear in a dictation.

Write these words.  Then write them again.  When you get bored, mix them up or substitute other similar words.

Did I forget any endings that cause you problems?  Add them to the list.

You can use this list with my drill the Top 25.  You just insert these words into a table, and presto, instant drill.

As the groundskeeper said, “The way to avoid becoming bogged down is to re-peat, re-peat, re-peat.”
