Flash Card Drill

Turn on the Speed Teacher.  Set the Number of Words at 1, 2, or 3 words.  Set your speed at 30 to 60 words below your goal speed.  Select any drill you want.  Start the drill.

Humiliating, isn't it?

Don't worry.  The Speed Teacher drills are designed to correct your stroking problems.  They are not normal drills.  Everybody has to work with drills that are slower than their goal speed.

Set the speed lower.  Keep the Number of Words at 3 words or fewer.  Take a deep breath, and think about how hard your first attempt was.  Start the drill.

Push, push, push.  You can do it.

The most important rule of stenography is:  Hear the word, stroke the word, drop the rest.

For the Speed Teacher, the rule is:  See the word, stroke the word, drop the rest.

Push.
